The Throne of Hessequa
His Majesty The King
King Henry Goukou Solomons II — Sovereign of the Hessequa Royal Kingdom
Lineage and Heritage
His Majesty King Henry David Goukou II Solomon is the reigning sovereign of the Hessequa Royal Kingdom and the head of the Inqua-Hamcumqua Royal House.
He was preceded by his father, Hendrik Solomon (Hendrik Tier).
His grandfather was Petrus Johannes Solomon, continuing the Solomon bloodline.
His ancestry traces directly to Lang Saartjie Solomon, daughter of King Goukou of the 1700s, remembered as the first female chief in history. She married Klaas Dora Chainoqua, a captain of the Chainoqua people, strengthening alliances between Khoe tribes.
Beyond this, the lineage reaches back to King Goukou, also known as “Oude Heer” or “Xhosa”. The name Xhosa was given to him by the Bushmen (San) of his time, reflecting the deep interconnection between the Khoekhoe and San peoples.
This sacred genealogy situates King Solomons II as custodian of an ancient Khoe-San heritage, rooted in the Inqua/Hamcumqua bloodline tribes and the wider confederation of the Hessequa, Gouriqua, Omaqua, Attaqua, Chamaqua, Cauqua, Houtunqua, and Korana.
